The Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) has unconditionally approved Salt Equity SA Investment Partnership’s acquisition of a 65% stake in Dispense Logic and EOEC Group Proprietary Limited, together with certain sale claims.

The CCA found that the transaction does not create market overlap or raise competition concerns in Botswana. EOEC’s Botswana subsidiary, Drinks Dispense Services, operates in beverage dispensing, refrigeration and air-conditioning, while Salt Equity’s related business, Pirtek Africa, supplies industrial fluid-transfer products through an independent distributor.

The Authority therefore concluded that the deal is unlikely to substantially lessen competition or negatively affect the public interest.

The decision was issued on 21 August 2026 under Section 53(4)(a)(ii) of the Competition Act, 2018.
