The Off-Campus Students Association of Botswana (OCSAB) is a student-led organization dedicated to representing, empowering, and advocating for the interests of off-campus students across Botswana. It serves as a unifying platform that addresses the unique challenges faced by students living outside university residences, including accommodation, safety, transport, and access to essential services.
Our Mandate
OCSAB is mandated to protect, represent, and improve the lives of off-campus students through the following core areas:
1. Security & Student Safety
To advocate for safer living environments for off-campus students by engaging landlords, local authorities, and institutions on issues of crime prevention, emergency response, and personal safety.
2. Accommodation & Housing
To promote fair, affordable, and dignified student housing by addressing rental exploitation, poor living conditions, and access to verified accommodation.
3. Transport & Mobility
To improve access to safe, affordable, and reliable transport that enables students to travel efficiently between home, campus, and essential services.
4. Health & Mental Wellness
To support both physical and mental wellbeing by promoting access to healthcare services, counselling, awareness programs, and student wellness initiatives.
5. Enterprise & Student Opportunities
To create pathways for entrepreneurship, internships, leadership development, and income-generating opportunities that strengthen student independence.
6. Academic Support
To ensure off-campus students receive equal academic support through access to study resources, digital tools, academic guidance, and institutional inclusion.
7. Food & Basic Needs Support
To address food insecurity and essential living needs by developing support systems that help students access meals, emergency relief, and basic necessities.

The Legal Editorial Daily
The Legal Editorial Daily is a social-democratic legal publication founded in April 2024 by Thabile Jonathan Jaroschek, with Prince Saulosi and Aone Motlaleng among its first writers. Owned by the Off-Campus Students Association of Botswana (OCSAB), the platform is rooted in social democracy and focuses on law, governance, and politics, advancing perspectives grounded in the rule of law and constitutionalism.
